Tom Hanks was born on July 9, 1956 in Concord, California. His childhood was turbulent and his family often moved from one city to another. His parents separated when he was young. Tom Hanks did not have any acting experience when he was a student at the university, so all he did was apply to act in one of the plays, and he was accepted and began his artistic career. The director of this play invited him to go to Cleveland, and that was the beginning from there. He starred in several notable films, such as Philadelphia, which got him an Oscar in 1993. Then he won the same award the following year for the movie Forrest Gump. He starred in Cast Away (2000) and Sully (2016). |
