Indian actor and screenwriter, born in 1937. He worked as a university professor at the M. H. Saboo Siddik College of Engineering. He wrote dialogues for more than 1,000 films and contributed to the success of Amitabh Bachchan as he wrote dialogues for some of his very successful films at the box office, such as Amar Akbar Anthony (1977). He received an award from the American Federation of Muslims from India (AFMI) for his services to the Muslim community in India. He won several Filmfare Awards and a Screen Award. He passed away on December 31, 2018.
