Doug Liman is an American film director and producer. Liman's first film as a director was "Swingers" (1996), to which he was attached after its screenwriter Jon Favreau turned down an offer to direct it. The film eventually became a box office hit and a critical success, launching Liman's directorial career. Making a box office profit of $28.5 million against its limited $6.5 million budget, Liman's second film was "Go" (1999), in which he also worked as a cinematographer. Liman continued his success with the action thriller "The Bourne Identity" in 2002, which was a box office hit and resulted in the development of the Bourne franchise, which launched "The Bourne Supremacy" in 2004 and "The Bourne Ultimatum" in 2007. Liman worked in both seuels as an executive producer, while Paul Greengrass directed. Liman also directed the box office hit "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" which starred Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. His other films include the sci-fi "Jumper" (2008), the spy drama "Fair Game" (2010) and the sci-fi thriller "Edge of Tomorrow" (2014) starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt.
