An American actress, born November 24, 1978 in Washington. She started her career as a child model, signing a contract with Wilhelmina agency. She was featured in magazines thereafter until her first television appearance in a commercial for Cheerios cereal. She made her acting debut in the 1992 movie That Night, and her first major role was in the 1994 comedy My Father the Hero. She rose to international fame after appearing in the medical drama Grey's Anatomy (2005-2010) as Dr. Izzie, which earned her an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Dramatic Series in 2007. Her most notable movies include Knocked Up, and The Ugly Truth. She has been married to singer Josh Kelley since 2007.
