Ralph Fiennes is a British actor, producer and director, born in 1962 in Ipswich, England. He studied the principles of acting and drama at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. He gained wide fame after the movie Schindler's List (1993), then appeared as Harry Potter's Lord Voldemort, over the course of five parts. He was nominated for an Academy Award previously for the films Schindler's List (1994) and The English Patient (1996). Fiennes won the BAFTA award only once in 1994.

Ralph Fiennes was the eldest among seven sons. His father is the photographer Mark Fiennes and his mother is the (writer) Jennifer Lash. He is the brother of Martha Fiennes, a musician, director and producer. Ralph has a twin brother named Joseph Fiennes who is also an actor and has assumed roles in “Shakespeare in Love”, “Luther” and “Flashforward”. In addition to being a well known actor, Ralph is also a director and a producer. He has authored several musical and his debut performance as an actor was in “Prime Suspect”.
