Maggie Gyllenhal studied at Columbia University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in English. She had acquired some experience in theater through participating in productions while at university. Additionally, Maggie also had an advantage with regards to her performing career due to the fact that she has a passion for literature and had studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
