She began her passion towards cinema at the age of eight, after which she received a scholarship to study at the University of California. She worked for several years as a BBC director, and was able to break into the world of film and television in the field of directing and is famous for Nanny McPhee Returns, and Jane Eyre. Susan White won a BAFTA award for the TV Mini Series Bleak House.

Susanna White is a British television director. She was earned the BAFTA award for best drama serial for her work as one of the two directors that worked on the BBC adaptation of “Bleak House”. She also directed the BBC miniseries “Jane Eyre” and was nominated for an Emmy award for that effort. Moreover, White has directed episodes of the HBO miniseries “Generation Kill” in addition to the 2010 title “Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang”.
