A Saudi writer and researcher born in Jeddah in 1955. She obtained a BA in Sociology from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah in 1993. She received a PhD in History and Philosophy in 2005. She worked as a writer in several Saudi newspapers and magazines, working specifically on women's sections. She also produced several radio and TV programs aimed at women. Member of the International Academy of the United Nations 2005. She was also chosen as General Counsel for the United Nations Economic and Social Council. She's known for A Rowdy in Our House (2010) and Wounds of Life.
