A theater director and writer, he obtained a master's degree in philosophy and English literature, and graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1994. He worked as an assistant director in one of the most important artistic theaters in Britain. He founded the first theater group called Zawam in 1996. After he returned to Kuwait, he established Al-Bassam Theater in 2002. Among his notable theatrical works: Hamlet, which began in 2001, Each Person and The Barter in Arabic. He received many international and local awards, including: First Critics Award from the Edinburgh Festival in 2002 for Hamlet Conference. In 2004, he was chosen as the Person of the Year in the field of theater by the Writers Association in Kuwait.
