A Saudi writer and political poet, born on March 3, 1940, in Al-Ahsa, Saudi Arabia. He studied his primary and secondary stages in Bahrain. He received an LLB from Cairo University, a MA in International Relations from the University of Southern California, and a Ph.D. in...Read more International Relations from the University of London. He worked at King Saud University as an assistant teacher, teacher, head of the political science department, and dean of the College of Commerce. He was appointed to be the Director General of the Kingdom's Railways Corporation in 1974, Minister of Industry and Electricity in 1975, Minister of Health in 1982, Ambassador of the Kingdom to Bahrain in 1984, and its ambassador to Britain in 1992. He had written a number of novels and plays. Among his works were The Freedom Apartment (1996), Abu Shallakh the Amphibian (2006), and Seven (7) (2015). He passed away on August 15, 2010.
