A Syrian director, born in 1969 in Damascus. She graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus in 1994. She worked at the National Cinema Organization - Film Editing Department - for 12 years and participated in many Syrian films. At the end of 2004, she arrived in Canada as an immigrant. After nine months from her arrival, she directed her debut short film One-Way Road, which is about Arab immigrants in Canada. The film participated in several festivals, including the Arab World Festival in Montreal. After that, she made a documentary about the effects of the events of September 11 on the lives of Arab immigrants in North America.
