He is an American writer and producer who received a BA in English literature from Columbia University in 1988. He attended the University of Southern California and earned a master's degree in screenwriting in 1992. He is known for Air Force One (1997), End of Days (1999), Hollow Man (2000), and The Equalizer (2021).
