An English writer and producer, born in 1970 in London. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts at the University of Manchester in 1992 and published his first novel, The Beach, in 1996, which was adapted into a movie with the same title in 2000, followed by a second novel in 1998 entitled The Tesseract, which was also adapted into a movie in 2003. Thereafter, his work followed, most notably Ex Machina, and Dredd. He was nominated for a Best Original Screenplay Oscar in 2015 for Ex Machina. |
