Egyptian-British actor who was born on December 30, 1980 in Glasgow, Scotland to Egyptian parents. He grew up in London, where he graduated from Cambridge University. He appeared in several Arab and international films including The Kite Runner (2007) directed by Marc Forster, and United 93 (2006) where he played one of the plane hijackers during the events of 9/11. He also produced and starred in In the Last Days of the City (2016) by director Tamer El Said.
