    He was born in 1944 in Neptune, New Jersey. His father was a small business owner. He attended The Lady of Mount Carmel School of Grammar and Rhetoric. In 1962, he got a job as a beautician at his sister's beauty salon. A year later, he joined the New York American Academy of Dramatic Art until he learns more about beauty. But he got attached to art at that time and decided to go through the experience. He offered some small roles in acting until he gained full fame in 1978 with the series Taxi . In 1992 he became famous for the prominent evil roles that he embodies in his films, the most famous of which is the role of the Penguin in the movie Batman Returns in 1992.
