An American writer, director, and producer born in Olathe, Kansas, United States on July 12, 1980 as Jerusha Elizabeth Demke. She studied at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. She married Jared Hess, and they got one child. Her most famous works are Napoleon Dynamite (2004), Nacho Libre (2006), Gentlemen Broncos (2009), and Austenland (2013).
