The director Haitham Hanafy was born on July 19, 1977 in Cairo. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hotels in 2001, then joined the Academy. Since graduation, he has been working as a teaching assistant. He directed several short films during his studying period, including: "A Portrait". He was also a part of the training team for the series Rayya and Sakina, and directed some video clips. He was also first assistant director in the movie These Days (2010) with director Ahmed Ghanem.
