Czech actor and broadcaster, born in Prague, Czechoslovakia. At the age of 14, he started playing in the children's desman band before attending the conservatorium. He became the youngest broadcaster on Radio Czechoslovakia at the age of 19, actively taking part in the Prague Uprising during World War II. He appeared in theaters in Prague, then began his career in cinema. His most important works include The Omen (2006), Hart's War (2002), Stalingrad (1993), and Before the Fall (2004). He died on April 1, 2013.
