A British-Canadian director, born in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and raised in Britain. He entered the British film industry in the 1960s as a trainee editor under editor John Bloom. He then turned to directing in the early 1980s, directing several prominent films over the decades. Some of his credits are Ice Bound (2003), Ripley Under Ground (2005) and The Children of Huang Shi (2008). |
