American screenwriter, director, and novelist born in 1958 in Ithaca, New York, US. He grew up in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. He graduated from Northwestern University and studied playwriting at Juilliard. His novels include Christopher: A Tale of Seduction (2003) and Undiscovered Gyrl (2009), which was adapted into the film Ask Me Anything (2013) that he also directed. He also wrote a remake of Fame (2009). |
