He is known for writing the book "Shrek!" that DreamWorks turned into a popular animated film series. The short film Doctor DeSoto (1984), which was also adapted from his book, received an Oscar nomination. He married four times. He passed away on October 3, 2003, in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. |
