Diane Keaton is an American actress, director, producer and screenwriter who made her screen debut in 1970 with "Lovers and Other Strangers" with Golden Girls legend Bea Arthur. Keaton was born on January 5, 1946, in Los Angeles, Mexico. After dropping out of Santa Anna College to act in New York's Neighborhood Playhouse, and after a few years on the stage got her first major film role in "The Godfather" (1972). Keaton became iconic from her collaborations with director Woody Allen, most notable of which is "Annie Hall" (1977), for which she won the Oscar for Best Actress, on top of "Play it Again, Sam" (1972), "Sleeper" (1973), and "Love and Death" (1975). Keaton's other film work includes the acclaimed "Reds" (1981), for which she was nominated for another Oscar, "Father of the Bride" (1991), "First Wives Club" (1996), and "The Family Stone" (2005). Keaton is also a photographer, a real estate developer, author and singer.
