A Swedish actor, born in Gothenburg, Sweden. He became a star during his teenage years when he played the lead role in the television series Bombi Bitt och jag in 1968, and between 1972 and 1988, he worked at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm. His roles varied between cinema, theater, and television. He was previously married to My Skarsgård and had six children with her, including Bill Skarsgård and Alexander Skarsgård. Then he married Megan Everett in 2009 and they have 2 children. His credits include Amistad, Good Will Hunting, and Dune.
