An American actress, who was born on December 12, 1970 in New York. She made her debut in 1984 in the movie Once Upon a Time in America, as a young Deborah. She won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2002 for her role in A Beautiful Mind. Among her most famous roles are in The Rocketeer, Requiem for a Dream, House of Sand and Fog, and Alita: Battle Angel.

Jennifer Lynn Connelly was born on December 12, 1970 in Catskill Mountains, New York. She spent four years in Woodstock with her family, and then moved back to New York. Connelly’s father is of Irish origin and her mother is of Russian and Polish ancestry. She studied at St. Ann’s school, and her father was a clothing manufacturer whose friend, an advertising executive, was the reason behind her appearance in many print advertisements and later on moving to TV commercials. Connelly joined Bell University and moved to Stanford University two years later. Her first appearance was through her role in the TV series, (Tales of the Unexpected) in 1982. In 2003, Connelly married Paul Bettany and together they have two children.
