An American writer and director, born in Chicago, Illinois, USA. David received his BA in English Literature from the University of Chicago in 1991. He married Frances Rosenfeld. He won a Joseph Kesselring Prize, a Pulitzer Prize, a Drama Desk Award, and a Tony Award for his play Proof, which was adapted into a film in 2005. His credits include The Lake House (2006), The Girl in the Park (2007), and Charlie's Angels (2019). |
