American director and producer born on 14 April 1965 in Hanover, New Hampshire. He graduated from Brown University in 1987 and then went to Paris to study cinema. In 1990, he moved to Los Angeles and enrolled in the American Film Institute, from which he graduated in 1993. He wrote for American Cinematographer Magazine, and directed advertisements for Ridley Scott Associates. He directed his first film Shanghai Noon in 2000.
