An American writer and director, born in California, United States. He worked in sports journalism through the San Bernardino Sun in 1912 and the Los Angeles Times in 1914, after which he moved to work in the field of film writing. He became famous for his collaboration with Buster Keaton through a number of works, such as Our Hospitality (1923) and The General (1926). He killed himself on January 4, 1955 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA. |
