Maryam Nouhy |
American novelist and playwright born on 17 April 1897 in Madison, Wisconsin, US. He is a three-time Pulitzer prize winner for the novel The Bridge of San Luis Rey and the plays Our Town and The Skin of Our Teeth. He earned his BA from Yale University in 1920 and his MA in French literature from Princeton University in 1926. His works have been adapted into film and television, some adaptations include Hello, Dolly (1963), and The Bridge of San Luis Rey (1944). He also wrote the film Shadow of a Doubt (1943). He died on 7 December 1975 in Hamden, Connecticut, United States.
