Jim Broadbent is an English theatre, film, and television actor who was born on the 24th of May 1949. He is a twin for a brother who died at birth. Broadbent is married to painter and former theatre designer, Anastasia Lewis. He is an atheist. He is known for his roles in Iris (2001), Moulin Rouge 2001, Topsy-Turvy (1999), Hot Fuzz(2007), and Bridget Jones' Diary(2004). He also appears in the Harry Potter films as "Horace Slughorn". Along his huge career history he won an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award and two Golden Globe Awards.
