The late artist was born in Baghdad in 1942. He entered the art world in 1961 through the play The Kingdom of Fish, which was shown on the stage of the College of Education in Baghdad, after which he joined the July 14 Troupe. He participated in all the work of the band and then moved to the cinema department. He is considered one of the pioneer Iraqi actors in cinema, theater and television and has many works. He performed his theatrical performances in one of the mosques near his residence in Baghdad. He was also keen to make Iraqi actors continue to present their works after the occupation, because he believed that artwork is a message that should continue under any circumstances. Among his artistic works: The Sweetest Talk, Long Days and Street 40. He died at the age of 68, after a terminal illness he suffered in recent months, forcing him to lie in the Medical City Hospital in Baghdad, and underwent surgery, but his health deteriorated and he died days after it was performed.
