He was an American actor who was born in Detroit, Michigan, on October 1, 1928. He received the Golden Laurel Award in 1960 for Top Male New Personality, and a star on the Walk of Fame in 1985. George studied at the famed Actors' Studio, with renowned acting coach, Lee Strasberg. He appeared on Broadway and on television, before he made his film debut in The Strange One (1957). He's known for Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961), How the West Was Won (1962), and The Blue Max (1966). He focused on television from the 70s, as he appeared in number of movies and series, including The A-Team (1983-1987). He died on May 8, 1994 of pneumonia, at age 65.
