A Japanese game designer, director, and producer, born in Hitachi, Ibaraki, Japan. He is known as the creator of the Final Fantasy franchise. He graduated from Mito Senior High School and studied computer science at Yokohama National University, but decided to leave the university. His credits include the video games Kingdom Hearts, as well as Blue Dragon.
