Billy Crystal is a legendary comedy actor, writer, producer and film director. He was born in New York City on March 14, 1948. He's best known for his roles in "When Harry Met Sally..." (1989), "City Slickers" (1991), "Deconstructing Harry" (1997), "Analyze This" (1999), and "Monsters, Inc." (2001). Second only to the even more legendary Bob Hope, Crystal has hosted the Academy Awards a whopping nine times, setting the bar high with energetic dance numbers and musical riffs with his many famous, and very funny comedian friends. Crystal joined the cast of "Saturday Night Live" after hosting the show in 1984. In 1985, he released the stand-up album "Mahvelous!" based on his most famous sketch on the show, Fernando Lamas. The album peaked at No. 58 on the Billboard Hot 100 in America, and No. 17 in Canada. The actor has been married to his wife, Janice Crystal, since 1970. |
