Hong Kong actor born on 29 June 1947 in Suzhou, Jiangsu, China to parents Hung Wei and Yim Dut who were also actors. They moved to Hong Kong in the late 1940s due to the Chinese Civil War. He began his career at 4 years old. He was discovered by director Chang Cheh while working as a stuntman and fight instructor. However, his breakthrough was in the film Vengeance (1970), which earned him the Best Actor award at the 16th Asian Film Festival. Other notable works of his include Dynasty of Blood (1973), Five Shaolin Masters (1974), and The Water Margin (1972).
