A British director, producer and writer, born January 26, 1946 in Horta, Portugal. He began his career writing many work for TV, including Total Eclipse in 1973. He made his directorial debut in Carrington (1995). Among his most prominent works are: The Quiet American and Atonement. He won two Academy Awards for Best Adapted Screenplay for The Father (2020) and Dangerous Liaisons (1988). |
