An American writer, director, and producer, born in Walnut Creek, California, and raised in Spokane, Washington. At the age of 25, he was hired as a writer on Saturday Night Live, where he worked for six years, and for which he won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program. His short film Brick Novax's Diary won the Short Filmmaking Award at the Sundance Film Festival. His most notable work includes the movie Casa de mi Padre (2012), as well as the series The Spoils of Babylon (2014), and The Spoils Before Dying (2015).
