    A British actress, producer, and director, born on January 30, 1937 in Blackheath, London, England, United Kingdom. She was trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London. In 1959, she became a member of the company responsible for the Stratford Theatre. She won an Academy Award in 1978 for the movie Julia. She is known for Howards End, Letters to Juliet, Atonement, and Coriolanus.

    Vanessa Redgrave is an English actress as well as a political activist born on the 30th of January 1937. She was born in Greenwich, London and has two daughters: "Natasha Richardson" and "Joely Richardson" from her first husband director "Tony Richardson" in addition to "Carlo Gabriel Nero", her son from her second husband the Italian actor "Franco Nero". In 1960, Redgrave had her first breaking out role through "The" where she co-starred with her father. In 1966 she presented the role of Jean Brodie in "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie". Couple of years later she received the "Laurence Olivier Award for Actress of the Year in a Revival" in 1984 for participating in "The Aspern Papers". In 2003 she won a Tony Award for Best Actress in play "Long Day's Journey Into Night". Four years later she participated in "The Year of Magical Thinking" for which she won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding One-Person Show and was nominated for the Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play. And in October 2010 she continued with "Driving Miss Daisy". On the other hand, she starred many movies including: "Behind the Mask"(1958), "Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment" (1966) in which she played the role of " Leonie Delt and won Cannes Film Festival Best Actress Award, nominated Academy Award for Best Actress and BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in addition to participating in "A Man For All Seasons" and " Blowup"(1966), " Camelot"(1967), " The Charge of the Light Brigade", " The Sea Gull" and "Isadora " in (1968)," Dropout"(1970). Moreover she received a David di Donatello Special Award and was nominated for Academy Award for Best Actress and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role in " Mary, Queen of Scots" (1971). At the same year she starred in "The Devils", "Vacation" and "The Trojan Women". Two years later she participated in "A Picture of Katherine Mansfield". In her last period she shined in " Mirka"(2000), The Pledge (2001), "The Gathering Storm"(2002) where she played the role of Clementine Churchill and received Broadcasting Press Guild Award for Best Actress, Satellite Award for Best Actress, nominated for British Academy Television Award for Best Actress and nominated for Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. In 2002 she appeared in three masterpieces "Crime and Punishment" as Rodian's Mother, "Searching for Debra Winger" as her real character and "The Locket". However she participated in "Letters to Juliet" (2010) as Claire Smith-Wyman, "Coriolanus"(2011) as Volumnia and " Anonymous"(2011) as Queen Elizabeth I. She also voice acted Mama Topolino/Queen in "Cars 2" (2011). As for her political activities, Redrave the outspoken critic of the "war on terrorism" and her brother Corin founded the"Workers Revolutionary Party (UK)" in the 1970. She tried several time to nominate herself as a parliament member but never received more than a few hundred votes. In 2004 the brother and sister launched the Peace and Progress Party, which campaigned against the Iraq War and for human rights.
