Add/Update Information: Ivan Passer - Director

Czech director and screenwriter, born in Prague. He was the son of Jewish parents who survived the Holocaust. He studied at the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (FAMU). He immigrated to the United States in 1969 and worked as a screenwriter on some of Miloš Forman's early films, including Loves of a Blonde (1965) and The Firemen's Ball (1967). Both were nominated for Academy Awards. He directed his first feature film, Intimate Lighting (1965), and then directed several films such as Law and Disorder (1974) and Cutter's Way (1981). He died on January 9, 2020.
