Gary Busey was raised in Oklahoma by an American father and an Irish mother. He graduated from college in 1963 and began to develop his talent for playing drums as he joined a professional orchestra and toured around the world. His real artistic breakthrough came through the movie The Buddy Holly Story (1978), where he played an important role in the film, so that he was nominated as Best Actor and also received attention from Hollywood agents after his outstanding role. |
