An American novelist, playwright, and songwriter, born in New York, USA. Ira grew up in Manhattan and the Bronx and received his education in a private school in New York, then he joined Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, then New York University, where he majored in philosophy and English, graduating in 1950. He then served in the Army Signal Corps for two years. Levin wrote many novels, such as “Rosemary’s Baby,” “This Perfect Day,” and “A Kiss Before Dying”. He died on November 12, 2007, in Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA.
