Finnish writer, director and producer, born on April 4, 1957. He worked as a postman, dishwasher and film critic before founding the production and distribution company Villealfa. Together with his brother Mika Kaurismaki, he has been a prolific contributor to the Finnish film industry since the early 1980s and has directed dozens of works during his career, including Fallen Leaves (2023), Centro Histórico (2012), The Other Side of Hope (2017) and Lights in the Dusk (2006). |
