She is a Turkish writer and photographer, born in Ankara, Turkey, 1976. She is married to Nuri Bilge Ceylan, who is known for starring opposite her in Climates (2006). She graduated from Marmara University from the Department of Film and Television, and after that she did her postgraduate studies at Mimar Sinan Fine Art University in the Department of Film Production. She's known for Three Monkeys (2008), Once Upon a Time in Anatolia (2011), and Winter Sleep (2014). |
