An American actress, born on April 21, 1958 in South Carolina. She attended Winthrop University, in Rock Hill, South Carolina. During a trip to Los Angeles, she was spotted by one of the agents of the Wilhelmina Models agency, with which she signed a contract. She made her debut in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes, after which she studied acting at the Actors Studio. She achieved success and fame after co-starring with Bill Murray in the film Groundhog Day (1993).
