He obtained a master's degree in genetic engineering. While studying, he also took lessons in screenwriting and cinematography and moved to Los Angeles, where he began working as a writer and directed two short films. His most important acting works are Underworld (2003), Underworld: Rise of the Lycans (2006), Men in Black II (2002), and Charlie's Angels (2000).
