Shaimaa Saied |
An American writer of Italian descent, born in New York, United States. He graduated from Fordham University in New York in 1958, and then worked as a writer for an advertising company for five years before he wrote his first novel "Americana" in 1971, which ranked among the best-selling books at the time. Don was also nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction on two occasions, the first for the novel "Mao II" in 1992, and the second for the novel "Underworld" in 1998. He won the Library of Congress Prize for American Fiction in 2013. He's known for Cosmopolis (2012) and White Noise (2022).
