Robert Rodriguez was born in San Antonio, Texas, in 1968, to a family of ten children. He went to St. Anthony’s High School and studied at St. Anthony’s University, The University of Texas at Austin, where he showed interest in film production. Rodriguez had the ability to develop his photography style to create short films using his family and the city where he lived. He excelled in using his imagination in film production and built a name in the fantasy, horror, science fiction, and short animation genres. He wrote his first major Hollywood movie El Mariachi in 1992 and opened his own production company, Los Hooligans, which was later changed to Troublemaker Studios. Rodriguez's most famous work is Sin City (2005). |
