Bryan Cranston is an American actor, writer and director, born on March 7, 1956. A veteran of television and film, Cranston is now best known for playing Walter White, the chemistry teacher turned meth dealer and protagonist of the hit series Breaking Bad (2008-2013), for which he's won three consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama. Before striking gold with Breaking Bad, Cranston was best known as Hal from the popular tween series Malcolm in the Middle (2000-2006). His other notable roles include Astronaut Buzz Aldrin in From the Earth to the Moon (1998), Ted Mosby's boss on How I Met Your Mother (2006-2007), a neighbor in The King of Queens (1999-2001), as well as appearing in the films Saving Private Ryan (1998), Little Miss Sunshine (2006), Love Ranch (2010), Contagion (2011), Drive (2012) and Argo (2012). Cranston is married to Robin Dearden and they have a daughter, who's appeared as an extra on Breaking Bad in an episode directed by Cranston.
