Josh Charles was born on September 15, 1971, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. His talent began to appear when he was only 9 years old, and during his teenage years he spent the summer at the Art Center in New York, he also attended the Baltimore School of Art, but he dropped out. He made his debut in the 1988 movie Hairspray, and the following year he participated in the famous movie Dead Poets Society, starring Robin Williams and Ethan Hawke. In 1991, he participated in the movie Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead. After that, his roles and characters varied between movies and series. He was nominated in 2011 for the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the series The Good Wife, and in 2014 was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the same series.
