A Kuwaiti director and writer, born in 1946. She received her education in the El Qabaleyya School. After her family moved to another area, she continued her studies in Hawally. Because of her love for the radio when she was young, she applied to participate in the children’s program with Diaa Al Ghanim, who was presenting a program for children.
She joined the Arab Television Institute in Cairo, where she received theoretical and practical directing lessons from senior professors, most notably Kamal El Sheikh. She worked on Kuwait TV as the first female director, along with a number of notable directors. She directed a number of programs, such as TV Mail, and directed several dramatic works with a large number of stars, such as Souad Abdullah.
She did not continue working for long on television and had a more important concern, which is advocating the rights of Kuwaiti women. During the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, she participated in voluntary work within the Kuwaiti Higher Committee in London. After liberation, she played a distinguished role in documenting the biography of a number of Kuwaiti female martyrs and transformed the project into a radio series. She also made contributions in the field of press writing. She wrote many books, including "Pressure Groups for the Kuwaiti Student Forces," "The History of Kuwaiti Women," and the novel "The Unforgettable Kuwait Epic."
