Mexican actress and singer born on 27 August 1959 Mexico City, Mexico. She joined the Mexican band Los Hermanos Zavala. She studied Drama at Instituto Andrés Soler and travelled to Los Angeles to study singing with Seth Riggs. She debuted in theatre and performed in plays of various genres, such as Greek tragedies and comedies. She recorded her first album in 1979, featuring songs written by Lolita de la Colina by CBS Records. In 1983, she signed a contract to record the album "Daniela Romo". She stopped acting for a while to devote her time to singing until 2001. She won a TVyNovelas Award for Best Leading Actress for Sortilegio in 2010. She is known for appearing in a number of Mexican soap operas, such as La Tempestad (2013) and Alborada (2005-2006).
